All of the major Banks offer start-up loans and small business loans without the need for supporting security. The Bank will usually require a short and simple but clear and well written business plan to support your application.
In recent years, Banks and loan companies have become increasingly unwilling to lend large amounts unsecured leading to huge growth in both Invoice Finance and Asset Finance. Realistically, it is difficult to raise more than £10,000 without giving personal guarantees and or additional security. It can also be very expensive with high interest rates and fees.
We have a panel of lenders who have a history of being both supportive and pro-active in helping smaller businesses grow. We also have extensive experience in dealing with applications for the government backed Small Firms Loan Guarantee Scheme as well as access to a range of other regional and local loan funds. In both cases, funding is available to good quality businesses or start-ups with a good business plan which would not otherwise be able to access additional funding because of a lack of available security.
